At the beginning of 2015, the new federal water protection law came into effect. Between 100 and 120 large sewage treatment plants are required to install an additional treatment stage by 2035. The trace elements are compressed through treatment with ozone or powdered activated carbon, and can be removed via filtration.
As a result, various on-site switches are required within the system and at various water basins in order to control pumps and valves.
